So what exactly happened to Jesus after his resurrection?

First you have to have a clear understanding of what the Resurrection was.

In the bible the word ‘resurrection’ comes from the Greek ‘Anastasia’-which means ‘raising up’ or ‘standing up again’. One who is resurrected is raised up from death and is restored his/her life as the person as he/she was before. 1 Cor 15:12, 13. in the Hebrew scriptures — the Old Testament — the word ‘resurrection’ does not appear, but the teachings are throughout it. Hosea 13:14 , Daniel 12:2, Isaiah 26:19, Job 14:13–15.

Is there proof of the resurrection?

Of course there is. The bible provides accounts of eyewitnesses of Jesus after his resurrection, including 500 people on a single occasion. on-top of this, Jesus predicts his own death. 700 years before Christ, the prophet Isaiah wrote about a future Messiah who specifically would suffer and die for our sins but later will restore life. After this, Jesus claimed that he was the Messiah who would be betrayed, arrested, condemned and then killed…in that order! And the come back to life- Mark 10:33. But to get in to more depth of this topic, that is a different blog to go into detail about.

Well…Jesus’ work wasn't done; he didn’t ascend to heaven right away to be with God the Father. Jesus stayed on the Earth for 40 more days!
